According to the constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan like education, Health is a basic need and the State shall provide the healthcare facility free of cost to the public. So to fulfill this mission in Pakistan, the Government of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf has taken the initiative of SEHAT INSAF CARD to provide Health cards to everyone residing in Punjab and Kpk, Gilgit Baltistan, and Azad Jammu & Kashmir. In the public, this card is also known as "sehat card" "Health Card" "insaf card" "Sehat sahulat card" "PM health card" "insaf sehat card" "Prime minister health card".
Government of Pakistan has taken this initiative because Public Health Department were already overburdened, to strengthen this sector is a long term project so PTI introduced the insurance policy for the public so that they can have healthcare services respectfully.
Who is eligible for Sehat Insaf Card?

Sehat Card registration for Family
A family consists of husband, wife and their unmarried children in which the head of the family is the husband.
Sehat card registration for Widows
In the case of a widow, the widow and her unmarried children would be considered a family headed by a widow.
Sehat Card registration for separated or Divorced women
In the event of a divorce, the divorced woman and her unmarried children (according to NADRA records if registered with the mother) will be considered a family headed by a divorced woman.
Sehat Card registration for separated or Divorced man
In the case of a divorced man, the divorced man and his unmarried children (according to NADRA records if registered with the father) would be considered a family headed by a divorced man.
Sehat Card registration for multiple wives
In the case of more than one marriage, all the wives of a man and their unmarried children will be a family concept in which the head of the family will be the husband.
Through Sehat insaf card, the head of a family and all the persons listed in the Family tree of NADRA record can get healthcare facilities without any charges up to 1 Million PKR. This is a huge amount but there is only a certain kind of diseases that are included in this insurance policy owned by the State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan.
Naya Pakistan Qaumi Sehat Card (NPQSC)
is a Universal health Insurance initiative available for citizens of Punjab, by the Government of Pakistan. Under the program, all citizens of the Province of Punjab will receive free inpatient healthcare services without any financial obligations.
In order to enable citizens of Punjab to get their NPQSC, a very simple registration process has been designed through an app named the “Naya Pakistan Qaumi Sehat Card App”. The App has been developed by the Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department, Government of Punjab with the assistance of the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB).
Holding an NPQSC and/or CNIC card allows the citizens to receive free health services in many Public and Private Empaneled Hospitals.
OPD services in Sehat Card.
There is no OPD service facility included in this card. OPD services and Emergency services are already free in Tehsil , District and Teaching Hospitals across the Punjab.
Indoor service in Sehat card
Indoor services are included in this health card facility when someone needs to be admitted in hospital for any surgery or any illness. Liver transplant is included in KPK but yet not included in Punjab.
Government of Punjab has already paid Rs.4500/- as a premium per person for the whole population of the Punjab to the insurance company to avoid embarrassment for the general public. 2-3 Representative of the insurance company are there in every hospital listed with this facility to have a counter check and verify the details.
How to avail the service after visiting any empanelled sehat card Hospital list ?
When any person visit a hospital and want to avail the Sehat Insaf Card facility, he / she needs to present own CNIC at the reception desk of the empanelled hospital where representative of the Insurance company and hospital verify the data of the person.
Special coverage for pregnant women in Sehat Card
4 OPD visits prior to delivery and One visit after the C-section are covered IN SEHAT INSAF CARD. Same day laboratory investigations of advised and done outside the empanelled hospital laboratories, they can be reimbursed any time from the insurance company.
Rates of the Treatment for all the enlisted hospital are same across the province. Fee slip, Dr notes , operation cost, medicine and all documentation will goes to the insurance company for the claim.
Last year insaf Health Cards were distributed by prime minister Imran Khan in Peshawar, Kpk. This year in Jan 2022 Chief minister Usman Buzdar with the support of the Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department, Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Department Government of Punjab, Lahore announced the issuance of a health card/ Sehat card for the residents of the Punjab.
Till now 183400 User has been registered and given the facility of the health-card to their families.
CNIC or Insaf Sehat card?
Due to a large population of the province, govt of Punjab has decided to use the CNIC of the citizens as a health card till the printing and distribution of the cards. The cards will be prepared and sent to the district government and they will distribute at the council level.

How to apply online for the sehat sahulat program?

Previously there was a system to check the eligibility like sending a text to 9780 sehat card online check. There is also a toll-free number 080009009 and an email address info@phimc.punjab.gov.pk under the ministry of Health Govt of Punjab. From where one can get information about its eligibility and all related information like sehat card hospital list, pm card hospital list, Sehat card online check, sahulat card. Let me clear you one thing, registration of Every member of a family is necessary while health card will be issued only to the Head of a Family, therefore all the people are advised to check their family record and add their family member if missing.

First of all, Download the Application from the iPhone app store or Android Play store. After installation opens the application and starts filling in the required data to complete the procedure. Please provide the following information for registration. Enter your correct information, according to the CNIC.
- Full Name
- Father Name/ Husband Name
- Permanent Residential District* (as per Permanent Address of CNIC
- Permanent Residential Tehsil* as per Permanent Address of CNIC
- Is the current Residential District and Tehsil the same as the Permanent Address?
- Choose Your profession.
- Select Your Mobile Network,
- Enter your Email address and choose password.
- After that check the box to complete the Declaration/Undertaking:"I, do hereby solemnly, and sincerely declare that the aforementioned provided information data is true and correct to the best of my knowledge."
