Justice Tariq Saleem accepted the objection to the e-ticketing challans being issued and ruled that e-challans were being issued without cabinet clearance, adding that e-challans cannot be issued without legislation.
The petitioners' lawyer argued that e-challans were being issued illegally and that the Safe City Authority had no legal authority to issue challans through cameras.
The attorney argued that the Safe City Authority's decision to issue e-challans should be ruled void.
