MBBS BDS Admission Sharif Medical and Dental College Lahore 2023

ADMISSION

Number of Seats

Sharif Medical and Dental College, Lahore admits a total of 100 MBBS and 50 BDS students in the following two categories on merit. The fee rates for each category are different.

Pakistani Students

A student who is a Pakistani National or defined as an Overseas Pakistani under applicable law, and may hold dual nationality and may be resident or non-resident.

Foreign Students

A student who is not a Pakistani student and holds only a foreign nationality.

Eligibility

Have passed the MDCAT examination for admission to MBBS at 55% and BDS at 45%; Obtained a Higher Secondary School Certificate qualification (“HSSC”) or an equivalent 12th grade qualification recognized in Pakistan and having obtained minimum sixty percent marks therein; or higher percentage as may be notified by the PMC; and Passed the subjects of Biology and Chemistry and either Physics or Mathematics in the examination of the Higher Secondary School Certificate or an equivalent 12th grade qualification recognized in Pakistan.

 Procedure of Selection

  The merit formulation for admission is as under:

·         Matriculation Equivalent (10%)

·         (Pre-Medical)/ HSSC/ Equivalent (40%)

·         National Medical Authority (MDCAT) (50%)

·         Interviews shall be conducted but no weightage shall be given in final merit lists.

·         Appearance in the interview is mandatory for admissions. In case of no show on the date of interview, the name of candidate shall be struck off from the list and the list shall roll on, unless a valid reason is given and another date is requested for.
