The Aga Khan University Hospital in addition to its five Hospitals creates access through its Outreach Services which include Clinical Laboratories, Outpatient Medical Centres, Pharmacy services, Home Health and other services. Outreach Services are designed to provide primary to secondary healthcare services to patients near their homes and are present in several cities across Pakistan. Outpatient Medical Centres offer a range of specialty clinics including Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Cardiopulmonary, Orthopedics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics and Physiotherapy, and cater to children, adults, and elderly patients for general health checks or specific disease consultations.

Job description:

You will be responsible to provide physiotherapy services at the patient’s residence in line with the institutional policies, protocols and values. Specifically, you will be responsible to:

assess the patients, develop and deliver the individual physiotherapy treatment plan

formulate treatment / exercise plans for patients enabling them to achieve treatment goals

documenting patient assessment and progress notes according to the SOAP format

educate and advise patients and their family about how to prevent and / or improve condition

responsible for the safe and competent use of physiotherapy equipment and patients’ use of appliances and aides

keep up-to-date with the relevant new techniques and technologies available for treating patients.

Requirements

You should have:

Doctor of Physical Therapy or Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy

completed traineeship or have at least one year of relevant experience from a reputable healthcare organization

excellent ability to perform physiotherapy procedures and operate relevant equipment

ability to effectively work independently as well in teams

excellent interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills

willingness to work in shifts and deliver physiotherapy treatment plans at patients’ residences.
