5 New Districts Notification Punjab

 5 New District made in Punjab 

On the direction of Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan,  Chief Minister of Punjab Pervez Elahi gave approval for the creation of Taunsa Sharif, Murree, Wazirabad, Talagang and Kot Addu districts Chairman Imran Khan.

Few weeks ago the incumbent Chief Minister also divided the Gujranwala Division and made. Gujrat a new Administrative Division in the Punjab including Gunrat Mandi Bahaudin and Hafizabad while Gurjranwala Division will consists of Gurjranwala, Narowal and Sialkot District.

Now the District Wazairabad which was one of the Tehsil has been made a new District out of Gurjranwala District. Although this is a political  to washout the strongest hold of Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz sharif) from the Gujranwala Division. 

Similarly the Taunsa Sharif Tehsil from Dera Ghazi khan has been made a New District from where ex Chief Minister Usman Buzdar was elected as Member of Provincial assembly MPA in 2018 General Elections.

For the first time in the country's history, the Punjab government has issued a formal notification for the creation of Murree district, comprising of 2 tehsils of Murree and Kotli Sattian of Rawalpindi district, on the orders of Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi.
