Wazirabad District Notification

 Chief Minister Punjab Ch Parvez Elahi has given the status of "DIVISION" to its home city Gujrat to enable him to win the next election and for the development of the area and local community. 

Gujrat, a part of Gujranwala Division now consists of 4 Districts with District Gujrat as a Divisional headquarter. 

Notification read as

"BOARD OF REVENUE, GOVERNMENT OF THE PUNJAB  

Lahore"

Notification No.2829-20222022/5096 -DIR(DEV&G)Dated the 14,October, 2022. In exercise of the Powers conferred upon him under Section 5 of the Punjab Land Revenue Act, 1967 (West Pakistan Act XVII of 1967) and in supersession of all previous notifications/orders in this behalf, to the extent of Gujrat Division, the Governor of the Punjab is pleased to order that Division specified in Column 01 of the following schedule with headquarter specified in column 02 will comprise of Districts mentioned in column 03 with immediate effect.

Notiffication was issued by the order of Governor of the Punjab through the office of Services and General Administration Department Statistical Officer  (DEV. &G) Board of Revenue government of Punjab.

Earlier, On the direction of Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan,  Chief Minister of Punjab Pervez Elahi gave approval for the creation of Taunsa Sharif, Murree, Wazirabad, Talagang and Kot Addu districts Chairman Imran Khan Notification is here
