Motorway Toll Tax increases by 10%

Each Year Motorway toll Tax  increases in August for the Public Transport and Personal conveyance.

The record shows that year  wise there is 100%  increase in motorway toll tax from 2016 to 2022.

According to the record, on M 2 Lahore Islamabad motorway, the toll tax was Rs 580 for cars, Rs 970 for wagons, Rs 1360 for Small Buses, Rs 1940 for 12-wheeled with 2 axle Truck , Rs 2530 for triple axle trucks, & Rs 3110 for 22 wheelers from August 26, 2016 to August 25, 2017.

 During the year August 26, 2017 to August 25, 2018., toll tax was Rs.620 for the small cars/ jeeps/ taxies, Rs.1040 from wagon, Rs.1450 from bus, Rs.2070 from 12 wheels trucks, Rs.2690 from three axle trucks & Rs.3470 from 22 wheelers.

The change in the Toll tax from 2016 was was just 8% for all the transport type. 

From August 26, 2018 to August 25, 2019, car jeep tax on M-2 Islamabad Lahore Motorway is Rs 680, wagon Rs 1140, bus Rs 160, tow truck Rs 2280, a toll truck Rs 2960. 2960 tax taken.

The change in the Toll tax from last year 2017 was just 9% for all the transport type. 

During the year of 26th August 2019 to 25th August 2020, the toll tax on M2 Motorway Islamabad Lahore has been increased by 750 rupees from car jeep taxi, 1250 rupees from wagon, 1760 rupees from bus, 2510 rupees from three axle trucks, 3260 rupees from three axle trucks. 4200 rupees were received from the truck

The change in the Toll tax from last year 2018 was just 9% for all the transport type. 

From August 26, 2020 to August 25, 2021, the toll tax rates are Rs 830 for jeep taxi, Rs 1380 for V, Rs 1940 for bus, Rs 2760 for two-axle trucks, Rs 3590 for a recovery truck, and Rs 3590 for RT4.

The change in the Toll tax from last year 2019 was just 15% for all the transport type. 

In the year from 26th August 2021 to 25th August 2022, Rs 910 was received from a car jeep taxi, Rs 1520 from a wagon, Rs 1940 from a bus, Rs 2760 from a two-axle truck, Rs 3990 from a three-axle truck, and Rs 4620 from an articulated truck.

From August 26, 2022 to August 25, 2023, the toll tax on the Islamabad-Lahore Motorway has been increased to Rs 1000 for car jeep taxis. Wagon 1680 rupees, bus 2350 rupees, two axle truck 3350 rupees, three axle truck toll tax 4360 rupees and articulated truck 5610 rupees toll tax.

How Motorway Toll Tax is calculated?

According to the authority of the National Highway Highway, the cars jeeps and  taxies traveling on the Islamabad to Lahore Motorway will cover four distances. Similarly, for the number of kilometers traveled by a wagon rider, Rs 4.68 per kilometer has been introduced. Paying toll tax of Rs 6.56 paise per km will be charged on the number of kilometers traveled by the bus on the motorway.

M/s Motorway Operations and Rehabilitation Engineering (Pvt. Ltd.), a subsidiary of Frontier Works Organization, was given the responsibility of overlaying and modernization of NHA's M2 Islamabad Lahore Motorway for 20 years to FWO  company. According to the agreement, toll tax has been started to be increased by 10% every year on BOT basis from car jeep taxi, 22 seater wagon, coaster mini-bus, bus, truck, two and three axle and articulated trucks traveling on Islamabad Lahore Motorway. 

Last Year ONE Network was assigned to digitalized the facility  of M TAG for online recharge and deduction of the motorway toll tax at the toll plaza across the country to avoid the long lane of the cars and busses.
