Petrol price Rs 30 per litter may be Decreased

Petrol price today in Pakistan is 225.55 Rupees per litter. 

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had suggested reducing the petroleum price by Rs 30.84 and increasing Diesel prices by Rs20.44. The suggested price drop was added to the petroleum levy, taking the total levy on fuel to Rs. 50. 

The current exchange rate of USD to PKR is 223 as of 9 December 2022. 

New price of Petrol 15 DECEMBER 2022 may be Rs 200/ litter.

According to sources in the Ministry of Petroleum, nominated Finance Minister Ishaq Dar is a strong supporter of providing relief to the people due to the reduction in the prices of petroleum products.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) started working in proportion to the prices of petroleum products in the global market.

The current oil price in the international market is $76 and Brent oil price was $77 which was the Lowes ot the 26 months.

But considering the change in the exchange rate of Pakistani rupees in dollars the benefits was not transferred to the People ot Pakistan and as a result the wave of inflation hit the masses at large.

According to industry sources, there is a possibility of reduction in the price of petrol by 9 rupees and the price of high speed diesel by 18 rupees in the initial working.
