Punjab Government notified new TA DA rates 2023. 

In the budget document 2023 Finance bill Punjab 2023 it was decided that the Revised Daily Allowance Transport Allowance will be implemented in the province of Punjab. 

The new rates are 50%  more than the old rates of TA DA. 

According to the notification issued by Finance department government of Punjab, the new rates are being increased for every scale. The new rates are being implemented from 1st july 2023. 

The question is being raised that all the amount which was disbursed till 16 October 2023 in the context of old TA DA rates will be revised or not?.

The government employees are already agitating against the private setup who will run the school and against the amendments in the service rules 1981 which has limited the pension Amount the duration of its imbursement Also question the efficiency of the finance department of Punjab.

Revised Daily Allowance Notification 2023

Federal Government has revised the rates of TA DA for the duties within the Country for all the grades. According to the notification, President has sanctioned the revision of daily allowance and revision of Transport allowance for the officers and officials while on duty within the country. The revision of TA DA Rates is applicable for ordinary rates and also for the special stations.

There was an demand for the increase in TA/DA allowance because of the Increased inflation rate and increase fuel price adjustment. The rate was Rs. 2000 previously for Grade 17 officer per day when he / she spends more than 12 hours out station.  

List of Special Station for TA/ DA new rates 

The special stations include: Hyderabad, Karachi, Sukkur, Bahawalpur, DG khan, Multan, Quetta, Sargodha, Sialkot, Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Gawadar,  Northern Areas, Muzaffarabad & Mirpur  & AJK.

The special station has increase of 25%  than ordinary stations.

Special Dispensation for BPS-1-16 Notification issued by Finance Ministry Notifies 

All the employee from BPS-1 to BPS-16 will ne able to receive grant of special dispensation for the civil servants in the federal government for with effect from January 1, 2023.

Those who are availing Disparity Reduction Allowance are eligible to receive this Dispensation. 

The government employee from BPS-01 to BPS-05 will receive Two upper pay scales increment as a one-time dispensation if they have not availed of the time scale under the Time Scale Policy, 2022

BPS-06 to 15 will be granted the next higher pay scale as a one-time dispensation if they have not availed time Scale under Time Scale Policy-2022. However, their substantive pay scales will remain unchanged in all the above cases. 

Employees in BPS-16 will be granted one additional increment as a one-time dispensation.

This special dispensation shall not involve any upgradation of the posts

 The Post of Lower Division Clerk will be upgraded from BPS-09 to BPS-11 and the upper Division Clerk from BPS-11 to 13 along with the incumbent as Recruitment Rules will be amended. 

Protection of Pay on Contract and Adhoc Basis with All Benefits Notification 

In continuation of Finance Department’s letter of No. FD.PR.2-1/2009 dated 26.05.2018 & 22.07.2022 (copies enclosed) and in pursuance of the approval of the Provincial Cabinet, Governor of the Punjab is pleased to enhance the rates of Civil Secretariat Allowance from 50% to 100% of monthly basic pay of Basic Pay Scales 2022 w.e.f. 01.01.2023 to the employees of Punjab Civil Secretariat departments, Governor’s House/ Secretariat and Chief Minister’s Office, who am drawing their pay from the payroll of Civil Secretariat Departments, Governor’s House / Secretariat and Chief Minister’s Office. Officers who are drawing Executive Allowance granted vide notification No. FD.PR.12-7/2018 dated 27.04.2021 and any other notification(s) issued in this regard subsequently, will not be entitled to the grant of Civil Secretariat Allowance in light of Notification No. FD.PR.12-7/2018 dated 29.07.2019 (copy enclosed). The said allowance will not be treated as a part of emoluments for the purpose of calculation of pension/ commutation.
